Attendance Policy

Attendance does affect eligibility to be promoted.

What Beginner Students Wear

Beginners are not expected to buy a Keikogi (uniform) right away. However, the clothing you wear should be loose fitting and conducive to stretching and physical training, for example sweat pants and a t-shirt. Once a member advances to the intermediate level, a Keikogi (also called karate gi) is required. The gi should be white and unmarked with the exception of the Genbu-Kai crest.

Additional items that should be acquired within the first 3 to 4 months of training include sparring gloves and a mouthguard. Central Edmonton Karate-do has accounts with numerous equipment providers with whom we place orders regularily.
